ネルソン日和

南半球・ニュージーランドにある街、ネルソンでの日々を綴っています。

15, July, Sat

I just relaxed in the morning.
And, Ben’s penpal, M-san visited us so we spent some time with three of us.

She’s looking for a flat so we talked about it.
After getting a job, I also have to get a place to stay.
So I should concern about it. (^^;;)

She had some things to do in the afternoon, so she left once
but because we had invited her for dinner tonight, she came back later.

While she was away, Ben and I had lunch and went grocery shopping.
On the way to a supermarket, we walked through the Queens garden. (^^)
It’s always nice to walk there.

Guess what we had for dinner?!
We cooked Okonomiyaki! Well, actually, it’s not a proper Okonomiyaki
because we didn’t have sauce and bonito-flakes and some other ingredients.
Its taste was okay. Not bad. But some places were undercook. (^^;;)
Anyway, we all enjoyed our dinner. (^^)

Ben also baked “Bread and Butter Pudding
(actually, he forgot spreading butter on bread, so it’s just ‘Bread Pudding’ (^^;;)”

We watched a DVD, The Iron Giant tonight. It’s an animation movie.
It’s cute, fun and moving a little! I liked it!

And we played a game. I lost… I can’t beat Ben on that game. (^^;;)
Someday I will beat him!

Ah, M-san and I made our CVs tonight! Finally. (^^;;) Ben helped us.
Actually, I felt a bit… disappointed? when I saw my CV…
because I don’t have much work experience, it doesn’t look good enough.
Well, I can’t help anything though.

I’d like to take a computer course or something while I’m in New Zealand.
I think it’ll help me a lot for getting a job.

Speaking of a job, I found an ad on the newspaper tonight.
It’s a retail assistant at a bakery. I emailed for more details.
It sounds good for me but I should be concerned about that the ad says “After school”
which can mean not many hours work.
Anyway, I’ll wait for a reply.

Ah, also I found a good lesson of Maori Weaving for beginner at Women Centre in Nelson.
It’s cheap and just one day class so it’d be fun for me!
But because it’s a small class, for only 10 people, I’m not sure if it’s still available or not.
I emailed to the office so I may get a reply on Monday.
I hope I can join the lesson!

Ben, M-san and I will go to the market tomorrow and maybe walk around the town in the afternoon.
I’ve been to the Saturday markets but never been to Sunday’s.
I’ll look for a weight scale! I need it to check my weigh! (^^)

I hope you’ll have a good Sunday!
