ネルソン日和

南半球・ニュージーランドにある街、ネルソンでの日々を綴っています。

22, July, Sat

It was a very lovely day! It was sunny all day! The wind was cold though.

Anyway, since it was a perfect day to go out, Ben and I went to the Saturday Market in the town.
It was busy as always, and we just looked around for a while.
Nothing to buy this time too. We should have bought some vegetables actually.

There are many food booths every Saturdays.
This time, we found a booth which sells food like Spring rolls, Chicken, Stir fried rice,
Pork steam bans, Curry.
We bought a Spring Roll and a Pork steam ban and shared.
They were nice! ! Especially, the Pork steam ban!!! Ben loved it. (^^)
The booth has more nice-looking food, so we’ll try some next week.
I’m looking forward to it!

While Ben and I were in queue for food, we found there was M-san!
She was with two of her classmates.
We took a table and had food together. It was very fun.
I had good time with them! (^^)

After leaving the market, we went to a Thai food restaurant because I wanted to ask about a job.
The restaurant has been putting a sign STAFF WANTED for a while.
I talked to a man and asked about details but he didn’t know much,
so he said he’d tell the owner and she’d call me back.
So, I gave him my CV.

He said three girls were leaving soon so they needed more staffs.
It means, it might be possible for me to get the job because they hire Working Holiday makers.
And, I was surprised that the owner is Japanese and her name is same as mine!
What a coincidence! (^^)
What’s more, she is probably a client of Ben’s mother who is a property manager.
Wow! (^^)

I expected a call from the owner but I didn’t get one today, so I have to wait a bit more.
I hope I’ll get a call sometime soon!
